The decks and cockpit were stripped and refinished by Dukes in the late 90's, all chrome is in excellent shape as well as the canvas top which Georges in Milford Bay redid when it was at Dukes. Has a 100HP Buchanan flat 6 of 1940's vintage which runs well. This engine replaced a 1930's Kermath Sea Price in 1976 . Boat is very original with much original wood. The fore deck was replaced in the mid 1930's after an engine fire. It has been in most of the Muskoka boat builder books and recently painted for the Grace and Speed book. Recent survey available.

After 6 years of working on evenings and weekends, David Young's Gentleman's Racer is finally complete. David, now 52, started building boats with his father in the basement of their home, at the age of 14. After working at many boatbuilding companies, over the years, including Windsor Boatworks in Gravenhurst, & the last 9 years at Duke Marine in Port Carling, Ont. A very nice utility. Boat has all the original hardware and the interior upholstery is in excellent condition. The Chris Craft/Buchanan 4 cylinder engine is in perfect running order. The bottom received extensive repairs in 2009.

Completely restored in 2005. Restoration included: Hull - stringers, bottom, hullsides, transom, decks, dash, seat frames, flooring and engine box. Wiring completely replaced and converted to 12 volt, two electric bilge pumps. Engine - original Chrysler Crown M47S 135 hp with twin updraft Zenith carbs, new tach cable, runs well and good compression. Hardware Complete and rechromed. Upholstery redone in mid'90s; yellow naug. With mahogany piping.
